But I have super textured walls...

After reading mer's blog about painted on architectural elements I've been thinking THAT is just what my little house needs.
So I started looking around a bit for ideas.
This faux wall trim is from Cottage Living
But then I realized that my walls have tons and tons of texture. You know the kind they spray on all the model homes these days. And what can I say, I've got one of those, just like everyone else in my neighborhood. :)
Anyway I don't think I can pull off the faux trim with bumpy walls, can I? What do you think?

hmm, that is a good point. let me think about this a bit...I still think it's doable, it's just how...

I've heard of wall paper that creates a flat surface, so (and this is just a thought) what if I cut strips of it and painted them like trim. In theory it would make the faux trim look different from the rest of the wall and then it might look a bit more realisitc?

Just buy thin wood strips tack them up and paint them in a decorative fashion to make thEm look more exciting!

Good Idea D-lyn!

I supose I could get actual wood strips, and the point of the fake trim is that it's cheap, so as long as it doesn't cost a lot...

I'll have to check it out.

I have wainscoting on my walls and the rough texture is under it. It looks just fine, so I say go for it!!
